Начиная с версии 3.0 поменялось меню плагина (стал как на Chrome), плагин деградировал, начал тормозить, "визуальный" инструмент для настройки блокирования на самом деле текстовый, без возможности включить дополнительные настройки (тогда какой в нём смысл???).
По этому скачивайте из истории плагина версию "Adblock Plus 2.9.1", к нему скачивайте дополнение "Element Hiding Helper (for Adblock Plus by Felix Dahlke)". В купе с этим дополнением, более старая версия становится лучше, чем современная.

AdBlock Plus doesn't block anymore. I used to this to block ALL ads now you developers are allowing ads to ruin my internet surfing.
