- Rated 1 out of 5by It's So Fluffy I Could Die, 7 years agoLike everyone else, I despise this update like I've never despised before!
Although very 'trendy' to look at, it clearly has freaking issues:
- each time I disable and/or enable it on a site, which I do quite often, Firefox freezes between 15 and 20 seconds which is becoming very tiresome;
- I clearly miss the 'Disable everywhere' option that was very handy. Now, I need to make sure that I don't forget to reenable the damn thing when I'm on the page concerned which, considering what I've written above, is starting to clearly get on my nerves.
So ! Am I going to downgrade or change for a new ad blocker altogether?? It's in your hand, Mr Palant... - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12754962, 7 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13419266, 7 years agoversion 3.0 - one star :( downgrading. разрабы, ну нельзя такую какаху выкладывать. я в шоке
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13419232, 7 years agoMy rating would be 5 stars+ but with this new update, it was a real inconvenience. I needed to completely disable adblock, I went through all the setting I could find but no disable or block on this specific page. I downgraded but man did that throw me for a loop when I'm used to clicking the icon, clicking disable boom! it's done. I can't figure out how to disable it on the update version, kinda odd that they made it (personally)harder to use than the old versions.
Thank You and Hope You Get This Fixed,

New Version Wrong! Slow down! Element Hiding Helper is not compatible, its handling is unmanageable, the filters do not give feedback, its locking ability corresponds to built-in options, it can not be set! I'll leave it !!! - Rated 2 out of 5by Mark Craig, 7 years agoWithout the flexibility of Element Hiding Helper, this extension is DEAD TO ME. The functionality that tries to replace EHH in the latest AdBlockPlus is apparently no longer based on Aardvark, lacks the utility of the earlier versions that were, and is utterly UNUSABLE... even after I figured out that some old syntax was no longer recognized and caused ALL the custom filters to be ignored until I removed the offending rules, which had to be done in a separate text editor because the error dialog made LINE references that were not duplicated in the built-in textarea editor.
The world is soon to gain another Luddite, because I won't want to set foot in the Corporate Web without sufficient tools to combat it. Adblock Plus alone is a toy for idiots that, much like the Corporate Web itself, leaves all the crucial decisions in the hands of someone other than me. - Rated 1 out of 5by Nguyen Hoang Duc, 7 years agoDisappointed with this version. Block element button does not work at all, and also the hidden element helping.
I have been using ABP for almost 10 years but this is the worst experience ever - Rated 1 out of 5by Anil Kumar Soni, 7 years agoLast update broke the Firefox .
When its enabled the rendering of some web pages don't occur, and when I disable it everything renders.
Uninstalling it.... - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13359419, 7 years agoTo say that the 3.0 update sucks is far too kind. This is a travesty. Blaming WebExtensions is easy, but the developer has had ages to come up with something better than this - how did we end up with this feature-less, control-less, information-deprived, hideous, buggy piece of garbage? Amongst other problems listed here en masse, the options don't even stick!
Obviously nobody should upgrade to this version and if you did, then you should go to the "all versions" section and downgrade right away. Then disable auto-plugin-updating and stick with Firefox 56.0.2 for the foreseeable future.
What's really sad is that Adblock Plus is why people use Firefox. With this ugly train wreck of a release, Firefox is going to die. The worst thing is that the developer couldn't see forward into the future and move over to a better browser project like Pale Moon. If he'd done that, Firefox would have went to its grave and Pale Moon would have become the next great Mozilla-esque project. Bad decisions will leave both browsers as inconsequential remnants from the past.

- Rated 5 out of 5by bruceb, 7 years agoAdblock Plus 3.0 .. not bad, but what happened to the Import or Backup Filters options ? ?
Can not seem to find it ... Thanks - Rated 1 out of 5by Kris W, 7 years agoVersion 3.0 seems to have broken the Element hider which is most of the reason I use adblock plus over others.
Also it hangs whenever I go to change any of the settings, The page dies with a non responsive javascript desktop-settings.js
It dissapoints me that this version is dumbed down like adblock was in chrome. The ability to tweak so many aspects was why I continued with adblock plus in firefox in the first place. I might just move to vivaldi if I can find an adblocker similar to adblock plus before 3.0 - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13417439, 7 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13417315, 7 years agoFrançais:
English:
Since the last update of Adblock Plus, the majority of sites no longer work without disabling it and it is impossible as before to "Disable Adblock Plus everywhere".
There is only "disable on this site" now and the only way to disable it completely so that sites can work again (as with its old version) is to go in Firefox modules and disable Adblock Plus .
So I took advantage of it to uninstall it and go unfortunately to another blocker advertising.
Improve the visual interface is good, but do not annihilate the features of the extension for that ... - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13417273, 7 years agoWhat happened to the blockable items list? I used that always! This is completely useless right now.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13417266, 7 years agov3 sucks big time.... Is there a way to go back to v2.xx???
