- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13649887, 4 years agoyou can't beat this for the price! the only thing I wish it had would be an icon in the input fields where I can click to insert my username and password instead of having to right click, scroll to the extention, navigate through the option -> "Auto-fill" then insert the credentials. Other than that, thanks for the service. I would recommend these services, I'm even a paid subscriber. I have tried other password managers, some of the more popular ones and they where great and all but I found to get the same service for a fraction of the cost.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Andreas, 4 years agoChanged from Lastpass a week ago and took 2 friends with me, which I share items with. After intense testing my final opinion is: LastPass is good, Bitwarden much better!
Pros:
Loads faster, can be opened in the sidebar, has an autofill option which seems to work a little better than LastPass, great layout - items much less space consuming, custom fields work phantastic and are shown in front of the card, even the field detecting algorithm can be customized, programmable via a realy nice CLI, OPEN SOURCE.
Cons:
When editing your vault using the web-vault, the browser extension and maybe the CLI all at the same time, you must not forget to sync the extension and the CLI respectively. Automatic syncing with the web vault (updates only, inserts and deletes are reflected immedeately) is done every 30 minutes by default. Anyway, thats a clear concept - opposed to LastPass, which had 'Refresh Site' and 'Clear Cache' but no explanation when what would be necessary.
Sharing seems a bit complicated and with less possibilities compared with LastPass. There could be a better help how to set up for a good sharing experience - who should create which organization with which collections? How do the personal vault and the organization vault coexist?
After understanding the Bitwardens organization concept for sharing, I admit that this is much better than the easier LastPass options for sharing. A shared item changes the ownership, its owned by the organization. All items you are granted access by the oranization shows up in your personal vault. A perfect solution, as there is nothing in between the needs of an organization and the needs of a personal vault. - Rated 5 out of 5by Gagan, 4 years agoI am still confused why LastPass didn't put in the the effort to catch up to latest technologies. My only reason for switching to BitWarden was that LastPass was absolute garbage app in my android phone.
I guess if the LastPass people do not care about quality of their software, why should I bother.
BitWarden is so much polished than LastPass. Let's see how this affair goes. - Rated 5 out of 5by Dji, 4 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Tav Lo, 4 years agoI used LastPass for years and just recently started using Bitwarden due to Lastpass limiting their free account to one device. I'm so glad Lastpass did that because I wouldn't have known about Bitwarden. Bitwarden is far superior and the android app actually works properly. It also is a huge plus that Bitwarden is open source. I couldn't be any happier with Bitwarden.
