the extension works great but on youtube, even with youtube on withe list, settings for autoplay and dark themes are often back to default value, while login information are saved so cookies are not deleted...
when disabling the extension settings for autoplay and dark theme keeps as set. Maybe an update can solve this ? - Rated 5 out of 5by Laurent Grenet, 7 years ago

To those who disagree, here my recipe: After installing CAD, each time you visit a primary website, your online banking, eBay, Amazon, etc. check the new CAD icon. If the cookie count is white on RED background, click on the CAD icon to see the drop-down list, then click +WhiteList for each URL shown. That's all, just once and nothing else!

[Had a question and that's why I posted this, but solved it.
Will adjust rating after trying it out for awhile, as I don't see a way to delete this]. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13663640, 7 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13705280, 7 years agoStrangely, the cookies this addon claims to delete still appear in the Firefox preferences and in Ccleaner. On the other hand, after I close a tab and wait for CAD to delete the tab's cookie I have to sign in again on an account which would indicate the cookie really having been deleted. However, I assume Firefox does its part on this problem because even though I select those options in the preferences that delete cookies after closure I still find all those cookies in Ccleaner after I close Firefox. The problem with this addon is basically the same, even though it says that it deleted a number of cookies, the cookies apparently are still there, I can see them in the Firefox preferences or in cleanup tools like Ccleaner. You got an idea, dev?

Developer response
posted 7 years ago- Access your data for all websites: CAD requests this to delete cookies for all sites
- Clear recent browsing history, cookies and related data: Ability to delete Localstorage.
- Display notifications to you: Self explanatory.
- Read and modify privacy settings: Automatic detection of First Party Isolation support. Although the Privacy permission gives CAD "read and modify" permissions, NO MODIFICATIONS are done to your privacy settings, CAD only reads the setting of First Party Isolation. The privacy permission unfortunately cannot be given granular control, so this will stay for now.
- Access browser tabs: CAD uses this permission to display the site hostname in the popup for easy whitelisting/greylisting, displaying the amount of cookies for that site, and which rules apply to that site.
Take the permission wording with a grain of salt. - Rated 5 out of 5by ZzzZombi, 7 years agoWith the addition of the ability to clean localstorage, this became the best cookie cleaning add-on.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12105406, 7 years agoThanx... I find this excellent and indeed helpful in eliminating hidden cookies whose objective is less than honorable...
However, on some very trusted sites, I would like to turn it off, but as I click on "Cookie AutoDelete" I cannot discover if this is
a possible option? Are there further instructions available?..and if so, where are the instructions that give us this control?...rjk san diego, ca - Rated 4 out of 5by barb, 7 years agoSeems to work pretty well. Pop-up that lists cookies deleted is a bit annoying but not a big deal.
