About this extension
Deedoop: Your Private AI Agent
Deedoop is your always-on, fully private AI agent — right in your browser.
Built for people who want the power of large language models (LLMs) without sacrificing privacy or performance, Deedoop runs locally on your device, using open-source models like Mistral, Phi, and DeepSeek.
No cloud. No tracking. No setup headaches. Just install and go.
🧠 What Deedoop Can Do:
Summarize any webpage in one click
Extract useful info (emails, prices, links, etc.)
Fill forms or auto-click buttons via natural language
Run multi-step prompts like a personal web agent
Chain commands together:
“Search climate tech > summarize site > extract emails”
Share knowledge with other Deedoop agents via peer-to-peer mesh (optional)
🔒 Privacy-First by Design
No telemetry
No API keys required
No third-party requests — all AI runs on your machine
Offline capable with local models
🚀 Works With:
Open-source LLMs via Ollama or the Deedoop Native Launcher
Firefox on Windows, macOS, Linux
Supports custom plugins and prompt memory
⚙️ Open for Power Users
Developers can build custom plugins, add prompt chains, or even fork the agent to create their own mesh intelligence.
👨🔬 Built for hackers, researchers, productivity junkies, and anyone who wants an AI that actually works for them — not for someone else.

Release notes for 2.1.0
🚀 Deedoop Private AI Agent v2.1.0 – Multi‑Network Share Update
We’re thrilled to introduce an update that makes it even easier to spread the word about Deedoop’s privacy‑first AI assistant. This release focuses on a new sharing workflow and improved cross‑platform support, while staying 100 % offline and open source.
📑 Highlight‑Based Sharing Everywhere
Select text on any web page and a floating “Deedoop” toolbar appears. In addition to Summarize and Search, you now have four one‑tap sharing options—Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and WhatsApp. Each button:
Generates a concise summary using our lightweight local model.
Opens the chosen social network’s share dialog pre‑filled with your summary.
Leaves you fully in control—you choose whether to post.
This intuitive, touch‑friendly design works on both desktop and Android (where context menus and hotkeys aren’t available), ensuring everyone can quickly turn interesting snippets into social posts.
🔒 Offline AI with Chain‑of‑Thought Reasoning
Our mini language model still runs entirely on your device, even on CPU‑only hardware. Ask questions like “ask what is this page about and extract emails,” and it responds with an answer plus a transparent reasoning trace. It never sends your data anywhere

⚡ Productivity Shortcuts (Desktop)
For desktop users, context‑menu commands and hotkeys remain: summarise pages, extract emails/prices/links or chain summarise‑and‑search with a keystroke. Our new highlight‑toolbar coexists with these features, offering multiple ways to work quickly.
📱 Android Compatibility
We offer a separate build designed for Firefox for Android. It retains the full highlight‑based interface—including multi‑network sharing—while omitting unsupported APIs. You can install it via AMO once published.
🛡️ Data and Privacy
As before, the extension collects no personal data. All processing happens locally, and we explicitly declare that we don’t collect or transmit data

We believe this update will help users share their Deedoop experiences more readily and attract new people organically. If you enjoy using Deedoop, please consider leaving a review on Mozilla Add‑ons and share your favorite summaries using the new social buttons!
