But I use Firefox's duckduckgo search engine. Not as my default search engine but as a one-off search engine. That is, I type "@ddg w3schools" into the address bar and hit enter. And w3schools.com results will still show up on the page. See this URL for example: https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=w3schools&ia=web

posted 2 years agoHi @aminomancer.
I can confirm that @ddg search shortcut works fine on Firefox 102.0 and Firefox Developer Edition 103.0b5.
When I use `@ddg` shortcut to search for w3schools (`@ddg w3schools`), I see some other websites with w3schools in their hostname (w3schools[dot]in, w3schools[dot]com[dot]cn etc), but the original website is not listed in the results. Of course, relevant queries like `@ddg caption html` or `@ddg html table` works as expected, and removes w3s[dot]com results.
I'll consider searching for all occurrences of w3school in the hostname so that those similar websites might be hidden. But I must say, that sounds a bit out of the scope of this add-on. Perhaps I can add that as an opt-in option, which sounds better.
Thank you for your review and using the add-on.
