- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13230400, 6 years agoThe extension is awesome. It works better than most of the extensions I have used. I like that it has different color modes instead of the usual white text on black. I still wish the disable per site button is made more easily accessible as that is the reason I keep going to the settings tab. I would also like it to turn on automatically in the evening so that during the day, I can browse normally.

You can toggle Midnight Lizard per website with a keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+L
You can set up when Midnight Lizard should be automatically enabled and disabled.
Activation schedule can be global (Global settings tab) or per website (Activation tab). - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14673531, 6 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14659224, 6 years agoReally good and complete addon.
Using it on Mozilla a lot, the dark theme and specially the Blue light filter helped me while studying/doing research.
Also customization is through the roof, you can really change almost every aspect of the pages to make it more comfortable for you.
TLDR: Definitely worth trying. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14636167, 6 years agoone can instantly see that much serious thought and detail went into the design and writing of this extension, and once user gets the hang of the interface with it's default and unique custom prefs, it works extremely well (i am using Firefox 65.0.1, and running Linux Mint). AND one can actually SEE (and use) the scroll-bar & scroll buttons on every website page (UN-LIKE Dark Reader, which has a MAJOR flaw/issue with scroll). is Midnight Lizard perfect ? well, naturally it is a ever-evolving work in progress with a talented serious developer who obviously works quite hard to constantly improve on it ...so in that regard, it probably is as close to perfect, and as close to a major godsend for those of us who truly need it, as one could ever hope for. i for one am truly thankful that innovative developers (like Mr Agarkov) exist in the world ...for if not, browsing the web would frankly be a much more frustrating endeavor. Midnight Lizard actually enables one to browse the web more effectively, efficiently ...and more enjoyably. Bravo and Thank You Mr Agarkov, your hard work (and innovative Midnight Lizard) is certainly very much appreciated here ! (i will certainly be donating to this excellent extension, and hope others do too)

posted 6 years agoThank you for the feedback! In the next version I'm going to use Firefox scrollbar styling as well. But you always will be able to change its color or completely disable its styling on the Scrollbars tab. When you disable scrollbars' styling in Midnight Lizard settings Firefox will use a default platform styles like it does now. Please let me know if you would have any problems with it. - Rated 5 out of 5by FatdogArcade83, 6 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Bathsheba, 6 years agoWorked for the first 6 or 8 tabs I opened, and I was all set to be happy, but now every new tab gives the "Midnight Lizard cannot connect to this page" error. Tried restarting Firefox but cannot get it to work. It's weird because it still works on those original few tabs, but no new ones. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Sorry, I actually don't mean the New Tab page, I mean every page I open.Developer response
posted 6 years agoIn this case please try to reload/refresh the page where you have this massage on.
Probably Midnight Lizard or Firefox were updated and caused the problem.
If it does not help: Are those pages with the message turned to dark?
If not: Are they represented by a regular website? (like Wikipadia and not like addons.mozilla.org)
Extensions does not work on addons.mozilla.org and all Firefox system pages. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14578257, 6 years ago

Developer, do you have any plans to add context menu entries, like "disable for this..." domain/page or any other quick action?!Developer response
posted 6 years agoThere are keyboard shortcuts for toggling Midnight Lizard extension:
⮚ on current website: Alt+Shift+L
⮚ globally: Alt+Shift+M
And Firefox team is working on the UI to allow users to override the default shortcuts. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13690690, 6 years ago
