by ggles, 5 years agoFantastic addon. The amount of trackers this blocks is amazing, although I do think a history of the amount of trackers blocked would be cool. I love being able to choose whether to completely block a third party, or just block cookies. My only complaint would be it doesn't always judge which sites to block very well. It doesn't block unnecessarily, the sites automatically blocked are usually accurate. But it doesn't always block all the the trackers. For example, the third party tracker New Relic doesn't seem to get automatically blocked even though tracking is New Relic's whole purpose. So if you use this, I recommend turning on "Show domains that don't appear to be tracking you" in general settings, and making sure there are no trackers on websites you visit. With all that said, this addon is amazing and it's one of my favorites.

New Relic has been consistently blocked "out of the box" (https://www.eff.org/badger-pretraining) in the last several Privacy Badger releases. It could be that you've installed Privacy Badger a long time ago, and also that your other content blockers have been stopping New Relic so your Badger never gets to see New Relic's tracking.

- Rated 5 out of 5by delta, 10 days agoThis extension is excellent and should be a default for anyone who cares about their privacy (which you should, even if you think you "have nothing to hide"). Privacy is a basic human right, and it has been trampled on time and time again by these awful companies. It is time to fight back.
Support the EFF in any way you can! They are actively defending our rights and fighting to make the internet better. I also recommend their podcast, How to Fix the Internet. Donate if you can, and spread the word. - Rated 5 out of 5by eduardo, 10 days ago
