- Rated 4 out of 5by Slapchop83, 6 years agoThis addon just feels like it's trying to do too much. All I want is a simple extension that dims the screens. A few extras that share common ground make sense and is even a great idea imo. But really it takes a new user a good hour to go through all the lists before they finish and are ready to start using it. Break the addon down or call it something else. It's so handy but has become a bit of a mess. Just my opinion.

posted 6 years agoHi there,
When you install for the first time the Turn Off the Lights Firefox extension. It will do this simple job, and that is to dim the current web page. And when there is a video available on the current page, it will push this to the top of the dark layer.
For advanced users, you can enable other useful options in the Turn Off the Lights Options page. Such as the Night Mode feature, that converts the website from a day theme to a night theme.
What would you like to see improved? A search box? Or features removed? More tabs to find the correct feature?

Sorry you have had this bad experience.
What is slow? Can you describe your issue? Is it the Night Mode feature or fade effects? In the Turn Off the Lights Options page you can always disable this fade effects.
