- Rated 5 out of 5by XMFoxFire56634161, 5 years agoI've been using uBlock origin for a couple of years now and loved it. Amazing just how many ad connections just one site can make. I had the same issue in version 1.28.2 as odelphi and lyggo did (both on July 11, 2020) where I can no longer allow a specific site in custom dynamic filtering. I WOULD have downgraded my rating like they both did but the developer in their release notes explained why they did it (recommending you use gray noop in almost all cases) AND also explained how to re-enable the green "allow" option for specific sites. (In Settings, enable "Advanced Settings" and click on the gears icon on the right. Go down the list to "filterauthormode" which should be set to "false" by default. Change that to "true", click the Save Changes button, and problem solved.) So if this is important to you, too, I'd suggest you TRY to use the gray noop instead of green "enable" as the developer suggests. That's what I'm going to do. If that doesn't work for you, you're still empowered to use the green "allow" option as before, so you have nothing to lose by trying out his recommendations. (Your existing "allow" choices appear to be grandfathered in, at least for ver. 1.28.2, even if you don't make this change in Advanced Settings.) So as long as I'm still empowered to override the developer's removal of that feature, I'll continue rating this extension with 5 stars. (Submitted July 15, 2020 for ver 1.28.2.)

- Rated 5 out of 5by Rick, 5 years agoGorhill, i've found an issue with the new update 1.28.0
When privacy.resistFingerprinting in about:config is set to true, double tapping Ctrl doesn't work. Setting it to false will fix it, but setting it back to true Ctrl does nothing again. You don't have to restart the browser to test it either.
i don't think there is anything you can do about it as i've seen privacy.resistFingerprinting similarly mess with other things with other extensions.Developer response
posted 5 years agoYou can set filterAuthorMode to true in uBO's advanced settings to get permanently back the creation of _allow_ rules if double-tap ctrl does not work or if you prefer to not have to double-tap ctrl key. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16139107, 5 years agotried every "Ad-Blocker" google can find me and finally, I'm done searching. this is the best so far and unlike some other addons which has "good ads", this can be completely under my command.
