- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14751047, 5 years agoIt's good but I just have one complaint, when I try to remove "recommended" videos from the sidebar it takes away the WHOLE sidebar. I'm talking about the related videos sidebar on the right, why not just remove the ones that say "recommended for you"? Those are the ones that annoy me, not the ones actually related to the video I'm watching.

posted 5 years agoThanks for the feedback! This extension at the moment hides the whole recommended bar because the intent is to maximize productivity, not relevant recommendations. Also, it was always advertised as hiding all of the sidebar videos, as seen in the screenshots. Hiding only "recommended for you" may be added as an option in the future, however. - Rated 5 out of 5by Carriercarry, 5 years agoOMG, thanks. now i never can see disgusting videos. thanks
- Rated 3 out of 5by Peter Konrad, 5 years agoI like how it removes all the video suggestions below any videos I just watched, so I don't have to scroll down ten meters to get to the comment section, which is the interesting bit. That is the reason I installed this extension. It is completely beyond me why youtube changed its layout in this user-unfriendly way and I hate them for it.
However, this add-on also removes all the video suggestions from the youtube starting page. But when I call up that page, the suggestions are actually what I want to see. I do that from time to time. There is a time and place for everything. This should be configurable.Developer response
posted 5 years agoIt is configurable. See the extension screenshots. If you click on the icon on desktop, there's a popup with the options (to show the homepage uncheck "Hide Homepage Feed"). On mobile, click on the three dots and "Unhook YouTube" to load the options page. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13834290, 5 years agoI love it. I'm trying to spend less time watching YouTube, but there are a few channels I still think make content that is actually educational and good for me. This lets me remove most of the temptations to fall down the YouTube rabbit hole while still leaving the site perfectly functional.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefoss, 5 years agoIt does not disable the playlists.
That feature is in the description and it is the only one that I wanted.
I don't know about the rest.
Therefore I give three stars instead of one.Developer response
posted 5 years agoHi, thanks for the feedback!
The description previously stated that it *hides* the playlist, not disables.
However, the latest update (1.3.0) has an additional feature to disable playlists.
Let me know if there are any other issues! - Rated 5 out of 5by bkdev, 5 years agoExcellent! Finally someone got it right. Simple and effective. Feature request: Allow list of whitelisted words/phrases for channel name or video title for recommendations
- Rated 5 out of 5by Steve, 5 years agoSo simple and effective. It'd be the ultimate if there were granular checkboxes to remove specific sections from the left bar as opposed to a mostly all-or-nothing approach, but the extension is nearly flawless in performance. Thanks!
