by Rockstar, 7 months agoI had been using this YouTube downloader extension for a while and found it incredibly handy. However, there was a brief period when it wasn’t working properly, which was a bit frustrating. After some time, I decided to give it another try and was pleasantly surprised to find that the issue had been resolved. The developers had pushed an update, and the extension is now functioning perfectly again.
I appreciate the developers' efforts to address the problem quickly. The interface remains user-friendly, and the download speeds are just as fast as before. It's great to see such commitment to maintaining the tool's quality. Highly recommended!

posted 4 days agoHi there! Thanks for trying the extension.
Just to clarify, the download button won't appear automatically on video pages. Instead, please follow these steps:
Click on the extension icon in the top-right corner of your Firefox browser.
A small window will open – paste the video URL you want to download.
Choose your desired resolution, then click the Download button.
The video will take a moment to process.
Once ready, a "Download to your device" button will appear – click that to start the download.
You can track the download progress in the Firefox Download Manager.

posted 2 months agoHi! Thanks so much for your feedback and for using YT Video Saver.
It looks like the issue you experienced may be due to how the format was selected. Just a heads-up: when downloading a video, please select only the correct MP4 format for the resolution you want. For example, if you want to download a video in 360p, choose “MP4 360p” only. Do not select both audio and video formats separately, as this can result in audio-only files or playback issues.
Currently, we support:
MP4 for video resolutions up to 2K (1440p)
WEBM for 4K and higher resolutions
We also use modern video codecs like AV1 and M4A to deliver better quality and smaller file sizes. However, these may not be supported on older devices or outdated video players — especially on older MacBooks.
We recommend using the latest version of VLC Media Player, which supports all the formats and codecs we use.
Please give it another try with the correct selection — it should work just fine! If you still face any issues, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@ytvideosaver.com. We're here to help!

USE to work without exception ... one of the best ... I SAID "USE TO" ....
nowadays, it seems the developer has opted to reroute your download to a number of ad sites (among them, several that have been Black Flagged as a potential risk) ... have deleted this app from my system and have gone onto looking for something that is a bit more friendlier - Rated 5 out of 5by Keith Knowlton, 5 months agoAn excellent extension to Firefox. Straightforward to use. I wish I knew about this sooner.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 15040671, 5 months agoThis extension works more often than not, but sometimes things from third-party advertisers download things such as the Opera Browser without asking, and keeps asking for you to allow notifications after saying No to them. The only way sometimes to get out of the third party mess is to close, then reopen the extension and try again. I can get 1080P on this extension where most apps either don't work anymore, or only capable of downloading in 360P. I will still use it, unless IT too stops working because YouTube blocked it, or whatever causes the other extensions to break. 03/2025: Doesn't work half of the time now, takes you to a lot of adult websites , and I keep getting virus warnings. Maybe it will download the first 22.5 MB of a twenty-minute video now. 03/20/25: Takes you to a fake Microsoft Virus Warning page, and won't let you click out. I wouldn't give my name or a nickel for Premium to anyone who would do business with such sleazy third parties just to make a Buck. I wouldn't trust them with my info as far as I could throw them, and couldn't care less about their rationalizations about it either.
