- Rated 1 out of 5by Bill G, 5 years agoSo I bought the software a long time ago, I have integrated it with dropbox, and it it works on my iphone and with Chrome. Somehow this extension does not allow me to integrate firefox with 1password unless I move to their subscription.

posted 5 years agoHey Bill G,
This extension requires a membership subscription since it works directly with our cloud service and not with the desktop app of 1Password on your computer.
You’ll want to download and install the good old companion extension instead: https://1password.com/browsers/firefox
If you encounter any issues with it, feel free to email us at support@1password.com and we’ll gladly help! Developer response

The 1Password team.- Rated 5 out of 5by 00x11, 5 years agoMy previous issue was resolved and I been given a year sub (as my account with annual sub with 6months left had to be deleted because suddenly my password on my pc stopped working where fingerprint on my phone worked no issues).
Since then I had 0 issues, support was extremely helpful and I decided to give them one more chance that I don't regret at all as there was no website that it didn't work with.
99% recommended! If you have problems contact support they are there to helpDeveloper response
posted 5 years agoHey there 00x11,
While the issue is not related to the extension specifically, we’d love to help you with this! If you still have access to your account on your phone, that’s great news. We’ll most likely be able to help you gain access to your account.
Please email us all the details to support@1password.com and we’ll be happy to help. - Rated 3 out of 5by adam@ezra, 5 years agoDoes the basic job well enough, a few pain points though:
- Settings in extension reset after every update
- No option to set default password generation type (I prefer phrases for example)
- I have a fake credit card I use for dev testing but it always confirms before filling on localhost since it's http
- The field popup really interferes with the browser field autofill
- Unsure if this is 1password site or extension but it always is painful to remember where edit and save areDeveloper response
posted 5 years agoHey adam@ezra,
Thank you kindly for the review and feedback here! There are a few things that might make your experience better though:
- The settings of the extension will reset if your Firefox is set to never remember history or clear the cache when you quit the browser, so you can adjust Firefox’s settings accordingly to allow 1Password X to retain its settings.
- The suggested passwords recipe is not changeable, but you can use the fully-fledged password generator in 1Password X instead of these suggested passwords. Simply open 1Password X on the top right corner of the browser, click the big PLUS icon to reveal the menu and select “Password Generator”. There you can fully control the passwords you generate.
- Autofilling credit cards and identities will always trigger a “confirm” prompt, that is a security measure we’ve added recently and has nothing to do with http or your local dev environment.
- You can disable 1Password X’s inline menu from showing up in fields if you’d like to. In 1Password X’s settings, under the “Autofill” section, you can disable the suggestions and inline menu.
- When you edit an item, it opens our web app. The edit button is in 1Password X’s popup, but the “Save” button is on the bottom of the tab that opens. Thanks for the feedback here, we’re hoping to improve this in the future! - Rated 2 out of 5by istrasci, 5 years agoWill not work in Linux which is where I primarily need it. When I click the toolbar icon, it just gives me a blank moz-extension:// page. Works fine in Windows.

1Password X should definitely work in Linux! Sounds like it is having troubles initializing in your browser.
We’d love to help you with this. Feel free to email us all the details to support+extension@1password.com and we’ll get on the case! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13195594, 5 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Replic21, 5 years agoI really enjoy using this, I started using it today because I was getting tired of the FireFox Lockbox and Icloud Keychain, this app seems to work for everything and I really love the addon of the Two Factor auth, which also automaticly fills in your code! amazing, glad to have this and hope to keep it for years to come!

Have fun and stay safe. - Rated 3 out of 5by godlessarmy85, 5 years agoThis add-on is pretty good for most things and I'd be lost without it. Unfortunately it doesn't work for some major services (like Paypal). It just won't fill the login. This means I have to start the 1Password desktop app and copy paste the information. If this (major) function of the add-on was improved it would be greatly appreciated.

posted 5 years agoHey godlessarmy85,
1Password X should definitely work on Paypal! We’re not able to reproduce any issues here so we’d like to ask you to email us all the details, that way we will be able to investigate and help you out (or fix whatever may need fixing!).
Before emailing us, please try saving a completely new login on Paypal’s website and see if it works. If it doesn’t, email us at support+extensions@1password.com and we’ll get back to you ASAP. - Rated 3 out of 5by macuzer, 5 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16190071, 5 years agoWorked great for a while, but now it will not pop up for me when I use the same key combination that worked before. So I have to open the PC app, log-in, and copy weblogins that were previously accessible through 1PasswordX. Seems to have happened with a recent Firefox update. Also, I don't want my passwords and logins saved in Firefox Lockwise, but Lockwise seems pretty impossible to turn off. Very frustrating, making me consider changing to a different browser...

posted 5 years agoHey there,
Sorry to hear you’re having troubles with 1Password X’s shortcut in your Firefox. By default, it should be CTRL+Period on Windows, or CMD+Period on a Mac.
If that keyboard shortcut doesn’t work for you at all, feel free to email us all the details to support+extensions@1password.com and we will gladly help you sort this out and any other issues you’re having with 1Password X in your browser.
Looking forward to hearing from you! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16031844, 5 years ago
