- Rated 4 out of 5by Dark_Ronius, 7 years agoI had always used Bitdefender as my primary anti-virus, however upon hearing 360 included both Bitdefender and Avira engines, I decided I would give it a try.
Ignore the bad advertising given by them apparently "cheating" in antivirus tests. At the worst it was a dumb move rather than fraudulent; but a simple switch after install turns on one and/or the other.
Once it is installed, install this add-on and get instant protection for the sites you visit, including a "shopping mode" which turns on automatically when you visit shopping sites. This actually acts more like a hardened/verbose version of the antivirus, automatically notifying you of ANYTHING suspicious while the mode is switched on. But besides that, it stays largely hidden, with just a tick on the add-on icon if the website is deemed safe. No bloat like McCaffee or other similar programs.
Note that it doesn't do anything on its own; you need one of their (free) antivirus programs for it to connect to . I'd recommend the 360 Total Security Essentials version, just because I don't feel there's anything in the full version that is good enough to choose over other software. Once that improves I might change my mind ;) - Rated 5 out of 5by CRAIGWBAPTISTE, 7 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by john, 7 years agoI had this same problem, however I uninstalled 360 totally and then reinstalled it from their website. I then installed the FF add-on from the 360 website and it went in flawlessly.. The strange thing is that the revision level went backward (from 1005 to 1004) when I installed the plug in from the 360 website however the update date went forward to July 25 2017 (today) . Hmmm
