A Bússola Draw: Draw on Screen by Leonardo

Reading closely means marking things up: you underline the "except", circle the detail that changes everything, cross out the option you've already ruled out. On paper you do it without thinking. On screen, A Bússola Draw lets you do the same.

HOW IT WORKS

Click the extension icon and the toolbar appears on top of the page you're already on. No downloading, no extra program, no cropping images. Your marks stick to the text: scroll the page and they scroll with it.

THE TOOLS

✏ Pencil: freehand, to underline and jot notes the way your hand wants
🖍 Highlighter: see-through marker, ruler-straight or freehand
╱ ▢ ◯ Line, rectangle and circle: to split passages and box in what matters
🗒 Sticky note: a note anywhere on the page
🔴 Laser pointer: a trail that fades away a couple of seconds later, to point and explain
🧽 Eraser: removes a whole stroke with one tap, or just where you rub
↩ Undo, redo and clear all
📷 Screenshot: the whole page or just an area, with your drawings (an area is also copied to the clipboard)
🧮 Calculator: opens on top of the page, no tab switching

COLOR AND THICKNESS FOR EACH TOOL

Tap the selected tool again to pick one of four ready-made colors, any other color, and the stroke thickness. Each tool remembers its own: the highlighter stays yellow, the pencil stays red.

MAKE IT YOURS

Put the toolbar at the top, at the bottom or on either side. There's full screen and dark mode (Light, Dark or Auto). Available in English and Portuguese.

DESKTOP EXTRAS

⌨ Alt shortcuts that don't fight with the sites' own: Alt+S pencil, Alt+D highlighter, Alt+K laser pointer, Alt+L eraser, Alt+C undo, Alt+B screenshot, Alt+Shift+B capture an area, Alt+N calculator, Alt+M clear all. The full list is inside the extension.
🖱 A middle click clears everything at once.
⚡ Auto-open: pick the sites where the toolbar shows up as soon as you visit, no click needed.

FOR TEC CONCURSOS USERS

The extension was born on TEC Concursos, a Brazilian question bank. There it can add an optional answer shortcut bar that picks options A to E, marks right or wrong and jumps to the next question, by pressing the keys the site already understands. In English it starts hidden; turn it on in ⚙ Settings.

PRIVACY

Everything happens inside your browser. No sign-up, no login, no server, no ads and no tracking. Your preferences (colors, thickness and bar position) stay in your browser, and screenshots are saved straight to your computer.

FREE, FOR REAL

The extension is free, with everything unlocked. Nothing is behind a subscription and there are no usage limits.

ALSO ON ANDROID

On tablets and phones, A Bússola Draw is an app on Google Play: a browser with the tools already open, two-finger scrolling and palm rejection for writing with a stylus. Only the app has Screen Pen, to draw over any other app, like a PDF reader or a video class. In the app, the pencil and eraser are free; everything else is part of Premium, which also keeps this extension going.
