About this extension
A11y Lens is a complete accessibility auditing toolkit inside your browser's DevTools. It combines automated scanning (powered by axe-core, the open-source engine behind Lighthouse) with guided manual testing —because automated tools alone catch only 30–50% of WCAG issues.

Automated scanning — one-click axe-core audit (WCAG 2.0/2.1/2.2 AA rule sets, iframes and shadow DOM included), findings sorted by severity with the offending HTML, per-element selectors, and copy-ready fixsuggestions (HTML/React/Vue). Contrast failures include a computed passing color. Preview any fix live on the page with undo, or auto-fix the whole page temporarily to verify.

🇦🇪 UAE Design System (DLS) audit — 13 checks against the official AEGov design system (mandated for UAE federal entities): component adoption, fonts, type scale, the real 115-token color palette with nearest-token suggestions, bilingual/RTL requirements, and button sizing — with on-page gap highlighting and fixes.

Guided manual tests — 10 step-by-step wizards (keyboard, focus, headings, landmarks, alt-text quality, zoom, screen readers, motion, forms); every "No" becomes a recorded finding with an element you pick on
the page.

More: user-flow recording across pages and states, two-way navigation (click a finding ↔ click a highlighted element), scan history with trend charts, violation search, and exports: HTML/PDF reports with
annotated screenshots, JSON, CSV, GitHub issues, Jira and Azure DevOps import files. Full Arabic interface (RTL) including all test content.

Firefox note: the color-contrast eyedropper is unavailable in Firefox (no EyeDropper API) — the panel shows a notice; everything else works identically.

Privacy: everything runs locally. No data is collected or transmitted.
