    Selling user to ad companies.

    This is totally not true. We don't sell any user data under any circumstance at all! Find our privacy policy here https://adblockplus.org/en/privacy. If you have questions about our acceptable ads initiative you can find details on that here https://acceptableads.com. No company can pay us to have their ads unblocked. In fact, a lot of companies who's ads fall under the acceptable ad criteria don't pay us anything at all. They most certainly do not pay us for user data as we DO NOT sell it. Our goal is to contribute to a more sustainable web. Users also have the ability to turn off "allow acceptable ads" in their settings.

    Apparently website owners are able to pay Adblock Plus to show you advertisement regardless of your settings - that's not what the add-on is supposed to do and in no way does it honor the free internet culture around Firefox.

    Hello!

    That is not true at all! No company can pay us to have their ads shown. We do allow some ads by default as a part of our Acceptable Ads Initiative but ads must meet the criteria before they are whitelisted. Also good to know, is that a lot of companies who's ads meet this criteria don't pay us anything at all. Users who do not wish to see these ads, can turn off "allow acceptable ads" in their settings.     Every time I open firefox, this stupid app takes me to a pop up add for the adblock plus Web browser. This app makes way too many pop up adds. And you can't choose what items you want to block.

    Hi,

    1/5.
    Useless in its latest version.
    There is no more possibility to list the content of the pages and create custom filters in a proper way.
    The screenshot on this page showing "Open Blockable Items" is from a previous version as this feature is not available anymore. Please remove the screenshot.

    How to get there:
    Hit F12 and click on the "Adblock Plus" tab

    or

    Go to Menu > Developer Tools > Web Console and then click on "Adblock Plus" tab.

    New lists ruined the addon. Need to turn it off to work.

    Adblock Plus is broken after Firefox 58 update. From the config page all the list subscriptions are gone, and attempt to re-subscribe any list is not possible as all url return as 'invalid url'. Removing Adblock Plus and adding it to Firefox again would solve the above issue, and all the previous subscribed lists would appear again as if nothing has happened. The issue would occur again every time after I turn of the laptop and restart it next day.

    Quite heavy and allows too many ads by default. And yes, 3.0 version is a disaster.

    In English using translator:
    Starting with version 3.0, the plug-in menu has changed (it became like on Chrome), the plug-in degraded, started to slow down, the "visual" tool for setting the blocking is actually text, without the ability to enable additional settings (then what's the meaning of it?).
    So download the version of "Adblock Plus 2.9.1" from the history of the plug-in, download the "Element Hiding Helper (for Adblock Plus by Felix Dahlke)" add-on to it. In the compartment with this addition, the older version is getting better than the modern one.

    На русском языке:
    Начиная с версии 3.0 поменялось меню плагина (стал как на Chrome), плагин деградировал, начал тормозить, "визуальный" инструмент для настройки блокирования на самом деле текстовый, без возможности включить дополнительные настройки (тогда какой в нём смысл???).
    По этому скачивайте из истории плагина версию "Adblock Plus 2.9.1", к нему скачивайте дополнение "Element Hiding Helper (for Adblock Plus by Felix Dahlke)". В купе с этим дополнением, более старая версия становится лучше, чем современная.
