- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 19127777, 13 days agoPlease note, I have a "Lite" premium subscription to Addy.io. It's been an easy to use, reliable service that I've been happy with, notwithstanding what I've said below.
Addy.io is overkill for simple average-users looking to combat spam by using fake/forwarding email addresses. For them, I'd recommend use Mozilla's Relay over Addy. It comes with the browser and a Mozilla account. It is very simple, meant for the common Firefox user.
It is also less powerful than Addy.
Addy.io has a fully functional free tier and is easy to use for it's most basic function of hiding your real email address. Additionally, Addy's free tier gives you ten "aliases" to Mozilla's five. (Fifty if you pay for Addy's "Lite" premium tier).
Where Addy might really shine is for power users, people who know about domains and APIs and are particularly intense about remaining completely anonymous vis-a-vis email. But only if they already know how to use all the tools Addy offers.
If that's not you, don't expect any guidance in how to use Addy's many features because the DOCUMENTATION IS INCOMPLETE and smacks of the "we'll get to that later" tone common among open source projects. What documentation exists is readable, but weakly written, full of unnecessary jargon that assumes technical knowledge the average user is unlikely to have.
That said, what's there looks like the team understands the importance of documentation---especially if they're offering a product they hope/want/expect people to pay for---as there is a rough set of categories set up in Addy's "Help Center."
If you use Addy.io, I strongly advise that you to TAKE A SCREENSHOT of each and every new API you create because you'll never see that API again if you don't. The API appears only ONCE, and that's when you create it. After that, all you can do is delete its existence. - Rated 5 out of 5by Inan Hira, 2 months agoSetting up a custom addy.io instance is very easy, and the add-on works seamlessly with it. This helped me move away from Firefox Relay.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18822799, 4 months agoaddy.io has slowly become one my most favorite security & privacy services. It's easy to use, has a generous free plan, and it is open source. So far, the browser extension has not failed on me yet.

- Rated 5 out of 5by 🐷, 6 months agoОчень хороший add‑on для приватности, удобно создавать псевдонимы электронной почты, подписывать (автоматически или вручную) и быстро находить их. Можно завести аккаунт на Hostux.App, где больше бесплатных возможностей, чем на официальном сервере.
Например, можно написать мне на e‑mail 📧 → f1795f5d-6a72-4f83-9a35-99428d4554d5@Hostux.App - Rated 5 out of 5by Reed Barber, 8 months agoIt's my go-to email alias app. LOVE this! Dev responds to help question quickly!
- Rated 5 out of 5by ldm, 10 months agoCame to pin a note that it's highly recommended. I'm actually not sure why it's not spoken about more widely on the web, like with some other, similar purpose, services/platforms.
The initial figuring out might take a while, in terms of adjusting to layout, understanding what-where, then employing it. But it's worth it, as past that stage it does the job - and it's then so easy and quick!
Very user-friendly in that sense. Bonus that there's great support - if one needs to contact for help, my experience is quick response and being tended to!
So 5 stars fair & square! - Rated 5 out of 5by Alastal, 10 months agoIts the best independent email aliasing service... with good privacy respecting measures and price tag...
Just needs little cosmetics and little more functionality for the extension... - Rated 5 out of 5by Parzival, a year ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by flamenco687, 3 years agoA great extension for a great service. It is simple which is exactly what I need. Just plug it in and load your aliases. My only complain is that aliases take up to ~5 seconds to load.
