Two things I like about AdGuard over other ad blockers:

1. Clean, easy to use interface.
2. Multiple privacy tools bundled into one package. In addition to ad blocking, you can also set third-party cookies to auto-destruct and also block various tracking methods and WebRTC.

Also, if you prefer to allow ads for sites by default and only block those whose ad usage you feel is egregious, you can use the "Invert whitelist" option to whitelist all sites by default.
