- Rated 1 out of 5by Vertrixx, 7 months agoThe latest update added this thing called "auto dark" which disables the addon for the site if it detects a dark mode. This feature is awful.
I use this addon ALONGSIDE dark mode, and don't want this feature to be on by default for all websites as it causes discomfort. I set my brightness to be what it is, and the previous version of the addon worked perfectly fine for this without deciding that I all-of-a-sudden don't need to dim a website because it's dark in shade.
I have downgraded to the previous version until this is fixed. - Rated 5 out of 5by Andreas, 9 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Autumn, a year agoLove this extension, use it everyday and never have any issues. I use it at night because the lowest brightness setting on my laptop is not dark enough for me. Also comes in handy if your screen still appears too dark if you are using you computer in very bright conditions. I'm assuming this isn't typical usage but I use it to conserve battery by upping the brightness setting above 100% and am able to keep the built in brightness lower. You can also whitelist sites which comes in handy.

- Rated 5 out of 5by ClubSpade12, 2 years agoSuper useful, the ability to whitelist and customize the levels for different sites is amazing. Plus it has timing? Incredible. Super useful for desktop users who don't want to adjust the brightness on the monitor every time it's dark.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Bianca, 3 years agoUPDATE (30/11/22): Latest update added customizable shortcut keys! There is also more control over the addon in preferences and when clicking the addon icon. Thank you for adding these features. Couldn't imagine using Firefox without this addon, especially now. Raised my rating from 4 stars to 5!
ORIGINAL: Simple screen brightness add-on that layers over the webpage a gray color. I like that it has keyboard shortcuts for brightness.. but I would like to request a keyboard shortcut to enable/disable the add-on for a webpage. This would be useful for when the add-on fails to load properly (which does happen sometimes). There is a button for this but a shortcut would speed this up greatly, especially nice for keyboard heavy users such as myself. - Rated 5 out of 5by Tyto11, 3 years agoi've been using this extension since i switch over to firefox - i tried midnight lizard but found it way too complex for what i wanted; if all you want is to shade your screen darker this is for you! midnight lizard was also boosting my memory usage too high.
sometimes it doesn't kick in immediately, but i've had this problem with every screen shader i've used. if this happens i just refresh the page and that fixes it just fine.
i do enjoy that there's a "morning" and "evening" setting - whenever it abruptly gets dark i know i'm up late lmao - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16917183, 4 years ago
