Afterglow by Afterglow

I made Afterglow because I kept opening YouTube for one video and getting pulled into the feed. It puts YouTube in softer colours and takes out what keeps pulling you in: Shorts, ad cards, game shelves and spammy giveaway titles.

The free version already does most of it. You get the Sunset theme, no Shorts in the feed, search or channel pages, hidden ad cards and game shelves, a calmer Viewer mode, and the Subscriptions and Recommended folders. Text-video is free too: it turns a video's captions into text that follows the speaker word by word, and you pick the size.

Pro adds the other 15 themes, fonts and text colours, black and white video, topic folders (Work, Learning, Health, News, Leisure) and your own list of words to hide. You can try it for 30 days without a card. After that it is 2.99 EUR a month, 24.99 EUR a year or 49 EUR once. Cancel any time, and if it is not for you, ask within 14 days and you get your money back.

What it can see: video titles on the page, so it can filter them on your computer. Your history and searches never leave your browser. The only thing that goes to my server is your licence key, when you turn Pro on.

Ads inside videos are not touched. Afterglow is an independent project, not made by or connected to YouTube or Google. If something breaks after a YouTube update, write to support@afterglowfeed.com with a link or a screenshot and I will fix it.
