AI Detector – Plagiarism Checker Plus by Plagiarism Checker Plus
Plagiarism Checker Plus for Firefox
What the extension sends, and when
- The text you choose to check is sent to app.plagiarismcheckerplus.com only when you click Check (or choose a check from the right-click menu, the check bar or the keyboard shortcut). Nothing you type is sent before that. Word counts are worked out in your browser.
- When you cite a page, the page's address, title and publication details are read from the page you have open so the citation can be built. If the page has a DOI, the DOI is sent to our server to look up the publication details. The citation itself is sent to our server only if you save it to a citation project in your account.
- If you sign in, the extension stores a sign-in token for your Plagiarism Checker Plus account in the browser's extension storage and sends it with your requests. Without an account, it uses a random guest id so the free guest checks can be counted.
What it does not do
- It does not read password fields.
- It does not collect your browsing history, and it does not send page content unless you start a check or a citation on that page.
- We do not sell your text and we do not use it to train AI models.
Storage
- Your settings, recent checks and sign-in token are kept in the browser's extension storage on your device. Reports for checks you run while signed in are stored in your Plagiarism Checker Plus account, where you can delete them.
