AI Prompt Redaction is a browser extension that replaces sensitive values in your claude.ai messages with placeholders such as [REDACTED_EMAIL_3e1a38] before the message leaves your browser.

What it detects:
• Keys and tokens: AWS, Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub, Stripe, Slack, Google and more, plus private keys and JSON Web Tokens
• Secrets in configs, URLs, headers and curl commands
• Network details: IP and MAC addresses, internal hostnames, usernames in file paths
• Personal data: emails, phone numbers, card numbers, IBANs, Aadhaar, PAN, GSTIN, US Social Security numbers
• Your own custom terms, such as client names or project codenames

How it works:
• Values are highlighted as you type, and a notice confirms what was redacted after you send.
• The same value always gets the same placeholder, so the AI can still follow references to it.
• Every detector can be switched on or off, and a "Try it" box previews the result.
• Pasted text and text attachments are covered. Other file uploads are not scanned.

Privacy: all detection runs locally. The extension makes no network requests of its own and collects no data.
