This extension replaces the default Twitch web player and adds playback/sidebar features.
Data Access and Use
The extension accesses data only to provide player functionality on Twitch pages, including:
- Website activity and browsing activity on Twitch domains (for stream detection, navigation, and player replacement).
- Authentication/session information needed to request Twitch playback and metadata endpoints.
- Cookies on Twitch domains required for Twitch API requests and playback token handling.
Network Requests
To function, the extension sends requests to Twitch infrastructure (for example Twitch GraphQL and playlist/video endpoints) to load stream metadata, channel lists, and media segments.
The extension may also send Twitch playback/ad-related tracking requests required by Twitch playback flows.
Data Storage
The extension stores user settings locally in Firefox extension storage (
chrome.storage.local), such as UI, chat, and playback preferences.No separate remote database is used by this extension for storing user data.
Data Sharing
The extension does not sell personal data.
The extension does not send data to independent third-party analytics or advertising platforms operated by this add-on developer.
User Control
You can stop all extension processing by disabling or uninstalling the extension in Firefox.
You can reset extension settings by clearing extension data in Firefox.
Security
The extension only requests permissions required for Twitch player replacement and related features.
