This extension will not run without first downloading a linked app. Malwarebytes identifies the app as a machine-learning type of malware.Developer response
posted 4 years agoHello,
sorry, I've tried to contact a couple of antimalware apps about false positive identifications, but it just takes too much time.
Anyway, the additional app's code is open - you can even build it by yourself and it will work with Always on Top extension
Best regards,
Vasyl Maherka - Rated 3 out of 5by Spondley, 4 years agoThis sentence "Starting from Firefox 57 it requires additional application" is everywhere, but nowhere does it say what the additional application is. What application is needed?
Developer response
posted 4 years agoHello Spondley,
please feel free to install the extension and you will see the app needed as soon as you try to use Always on Top.
In general, starting Firefox 57, mozilla doesn't allow to call windows api from extensions' code. This is why the additional application is required.
Hope this help,
Best regards,

- Rated 5 out of 5by Tupoj_goblin, 4 years agoI registered an account in Firefox only to write it, I want to say that addon works fine!
I did not find any problems! Originally afraid that it could be a virus, I read the reviews and decided to download it, and now I use it for almost a year. Developer response

- Rated 1 out of 5by Ash, 5 years agoI've uninstalled and reinstalled both the add-on and aot.exe too many times to count and yet it still doesn't work. I've read reviews with similar problems with the only proposed solution being to check if it installed properly, but how could it install improperly in the first place? As of now I'm deleting the add-on itself and its external program until a solution presents itself to me.

Developer response
posted 5 years agoHello Enyon,
I'm really sorry you had to uninstall Always On Top extension - the extension front page clearly states that you have to install additional software to make it work. Please believe - we didn't want it either, but there was no choice - extensions API doesn't support required operation anymore.
Feel free to contact our team directly so we can discuss how to make it more trustworthy for you. You can also build the additional app from the source code by yourself.
Thank you,
Best regards,
Vasyl Maherka - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16588447, 5 years agoHi there,
since today this add on caused youtube to not work properly: Regardless of which video I try to start, it jumps to a video from the news again and again, but that one cannot be played either.
I like and use this add on for years now but I had to turn it off due the massive problems. After turning it off everything was okay again. Can you check what's going on please?
Edit: The Problem started again even though I had the add on disabled, so it was just by chance that the problem disappeared.Developer response
posted 5 years agoHello there!
Always On Top extension doesn't affect web content in any way so it shouldn't be responsible for such effects, could you please share a video record of what is actually happening for you?
Thank you,
