- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17357880, 2 years agoIt actually inverts the issue. Without it, all tabs see themselves is invisible, with it all pages see themselves as visible. Autor recommends to use a separate profile or a Chrome-based browser to not apply the addon on all pages, which resluts in higher power consumption.
(other idea: do not enable this addon for private mode and open tabs that are supposed to be not fake-active in private mode - however this has different side-effects) - Rated 5 out of 5by Cas, 2 years agoIf you open tabs in the background, you NEED this addon. Pages load and lay out just as if you're looking at them, so there's no delay or blinking when you do swap to the tab.
An absolute must with Dark Reader and similar.
Not to mention, added privacy, and consistent website behaviour regardless of your browsing technique. The most underrated addon. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17608264, 2 years agoNo icon to activate it, tabs behave just as before this extension - turn inactive once another tab with media stats playing.

- Rated 5 out of 5by kris33, 3 years agoThis solves the issue where some sites, like new Reddit and Nebula, doesn't load the title until the tab is clicked, making it really annoying to ctrl+click multiple tabs you want to view, since you don't see the title of the tabs until you manually open them one by one.
This fixes that! Thanks! :D - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15954681, 3 years agoHey, I couldn't get your extension to work for my particular case. I'm trying to stop movies and videos or livestreams from freezing in the background. I noticed the videos freeze after 10 seconds if I open a different tab in fullscreen. But I did a lot of digging and I fixed it by going to about:config and changing media.suspend-bkgnd-video.delay-ms to a really high value. Might be something to look into
- Rated 4 out of 5by 0123456789, 3 years agoIt broke some sites, but working pretty well, would be nice if the extension had a blacklist/whitelist feature.
