Does nothing. Unsurprising since it looks like abandoned-ware with the last update being over three years ago.

This extension is outdated and urgently needs an update. I installed it and nothing worked. If you are no longer interested in further developing your extension, please delete your extension from the Firefox homepage. It does not have to be that others also install your garbage extension.

Seems ok works great on PC Jan 30, 2024. However, running older OS with FF 115.3 ESR. I worry about security though with few users, designer has only one app, and it's not verified.

Perhaps because of how old this extension is, it does not do anything to hide the sidebar on Amazon. Uninstalling because it doesn't do what it claims to, at least as of Jan 2024.

This Amazon Cart Hider does hide the cart, but on my PC (Windows 10) it also deactivates all pictures of the product so clicking on them does nothing, and if you go down to Questions and Answers about a product, you can't change from 'Most Helpful' to 'Most Recent'. That choice is dead also. So it's a tradeoff on my PC at least. As soon as I remove this Extension, those features come back.

This add on should have MUCH higher usage. I can only imagine that it just hasn't been "looked for" yet. I've been using it for a couple months, and as I was setting up a laptop I've put MX Linux on, I decided to say a word or two.
Absolutely fantastic app and execution! These older, low-powered, small laptops I refurbish are usually the 11.6" display variety, so they need all the screen real estate they can get. This add on helps greatly, plus it seems to remove a little wasted time from the page load time on Amazon (or at least it seems so to me). The tiny amount of RAM it takes up is easy to overlook for the benefits it provides.

Probably 90% of items I order online come from Amazon, but I hate that cart sidebar showing up on every Amazon page once I add something to my cart. It cannot be removed by any setting. I finally went on a search and destroy mission, I found this add-on and was surprised to see only 29 users. Not much information other than it's supposed to remove that cart sidebar. Well, it does just that! With this add-on installed, you might get a flash of the sidebar for a micro second or maybe a flash of an empty box, but if either shows up, it's not for long. At most maybe one second? Then the rest of your page expands and swallows the sidebar.

There are many add-ons that block elements, but they always require intervention from you. This add-on does one thing. It gets rid of that cart sidebar. That's all. Nothing else. And it does it on it's own. Maybe there's something better out there that I haven't found yet, but thanks to this add-on, my Apple watch shows my heart rate NOT increasing because of the annoying sidebar. They say it's the simple things in life that make you happy. I'm happy.
