PRIVACY POLICY FOR ANIME TRACKER

Anime Tracker has no servers of its own. The developer receives no data from this extension. The only service it communicates with is AniList, acting on your behalf using your own AniList account.

WHAT IS SENT, AND WHEN

The title of your active tab, read only at the moment you click the Anime Tracker toolbar icon. The extension never reads tabs in the background and has no access to page content, browsing history, or any tab you are not currently viewing. The title is cleaned up locally, then sent to AniList's public API (https://graphql.anilist.co) for the sole purpose of finding the anime that matches it. It is not stored anywhere, and it is not sent to anyone else.

Changes you choose to make. When you save a show, bump episode progress, set a status or score, or remove an entry, that change is sent to AniList to update your list, exactly as it would be if you had made the change on the AniList website.

WHAT IS STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

Your AniList access token, held in the browser's local extension storage. It stays on your device. It is transmitted only to AniList, as the authorization header required to act on your account, and never to the developer or any third party. Logging out or removing the extension deletes it.

WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT DO

No analytics, telemetry, tracking, or crash reporting. No advertising, and no sale or sharing of data. No collection of names, email addresses, or other identifying information. No servers operated by the developer. No remote code execution, because all code ships inside the extension package.

Data sent to AniList is governed by AniList's own privacy policy at https://anilist.co/terms. You can revoke this extension's access to your account at any time from https://anilist.co/settings/apps.
