APSE is A Personal Search Engine. It stores snapshots in a search index locally on your computer.

Apse can automatically run in the background, or take a snapshot manually from the app. Now you can manually take one from your browser too!

Instead of leaving you wondering, a notification shows when APSE didn't receive your snapshot. Usually because APSE isn't running.
