Aurie Browser Extension Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
The Aurie extension connects your browser to your Aurie account at run.aurie.app. This policy covers the extension. The full Aurie privacy policy, including the web app, is at https://run.aurie.app/privacy.
WHAT THE EXTENSION SENDS, AND WHEN
All data goes only to Aurie's servers at run.aurie.app.
• Sign-in: the extension keeps your Aurie sign-in session in browser storage and sends it with each request so saves go to your account. It reads and updates the Aurie sign-in cookies on run.aurie.app to keep you signed in there.
• Pages you save: when you save a page, the extension sends its URL and title. Aurie then fetches that page's public preview (title, description, image) to build the bookmark.
• Screenshots: only if you turn on screenshot thumbnails, which are off by default. When you save, the extension captures the visible tab, or asks Aurie to capture the page by its URL, and stores the image as the bookmark's thumbnail.
• Open tabs: only when you use Import open tabs in the Aurie app. The extension gives the app the URLs and titles of your open tabs so you can choose which to save. Only the tabs you choose are saved.
• Button settings: your Aurie button preferences, including sites where you hid it, are saved to your account so they apply in every browser you use.
WHAT THE EXTENSION DOES NOT DO
• It does not record your browsing or track the pages you visit.
• It does not read or send the content of pages you visit, other than the title and the optional screenshot described above.
• It does not include AI or send data to AI services.
• It does not collect analytics, and it does not sell or share data with advertisers.
OTHER PARTIES
Aurie stores your account and bookmarks with Supabase, its database and sign-in provider. The full list of services the Aurie web app uses is at https://run.aurie.app/privacy.
YOUR CHOICES
