Latest version
Version 1.3.4
Released Oct 24, 2026 - 1.39 MBWorks with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and laterNew: a switch in the popup to pause automatic cleaning. Turning it off asks for how long: for 1 hour, until the browser restarts, or until you turn it back on. The popup shows when cleaning comes back, and the toolbar icon stays grey until then.
You can also give the switch a keyboard shortcut under Add-ons → gear menu → Manage Extension Shortcuts. It has no key until you pick one. (Firefox for Android has no keyboard shortcuts; use the popup switch.)Source code released under MIT License

Version 1.3.0
Released Oct 23, 2026 - 1.38 MBWorks with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and laterFirefox for Android is now supported, including Fennec and other browsers that install add-ons from addons.mozilla.org. Firefox for Android's own "Delete browsing data on quit" has no per-site exceptions, so the Keep list fills that gap: kept sites keep their cookies and everything else is cleared. Turn off Firefox's own delete-on-quit for cookies, or it removes kept sites too. Containers and context menus don't exist on Android, so those settings are hidden there, and container lists in a backup from desktop Firefox are merged into the Default list. Sites kept from private tabs are forgotten when the last private tab closes, or at the next browser start.
Keep rules that keep only some cookies can now use patterns for cookie names: "auth_" keeps every cookie whose name starts with "auth_". Heads-up for exports: older versions of this extension read "auth_" as one literal cookie name.
The settings page and Help now say that Firefox can't delete a site's cache, Cache Storage or file-system storage automatically, and how to clear them yourself.
The pin instructions now match your browser: Firefox's Extensions button on desktop, the menu on Android.Source code released under MIT License
Version 1.2.3
Released Oct 17, 2026 - 1.34 MBWorks with firefox 140.0 and laterFixes a bug with Firefox containers.Source code released under MIT License
Version 1.2.2
Released Oct 16, 2026 - 1.34 MBWorks with firefox 140.0 and later- The storage that frames from other sites keep inside a page (for example an embedded YouTube player's Local Storage) is now cleaned once the embedding site closes. Before, it stayed unless the frame's site had a cookie of its own. It is left alone while the frame's own site is open in a tab, still embedded in another open site, or kept by one of your rules, because Firefox clears stored data host by host and would clear that site's own data too. For this, the extension now also notes the address of frames from other sites as they load, as it already did for same-site frames; it never sees their content.
- A keep rule for a site no longer keeps that site's cookies stored under other sites you don't keep (Total Cookie Protection). For example, a rule for youtube.com keeps your YouTube sign-in, but no longer keeps the cookies of a YouTube video embedded on a site you don't keep. To keep an embed such as Disqus comments signed in on a site, keep that site too. The cookie list in the rule editor now shows only the cookies a rule can keep.
- The Overview page now shows the extension's name. After an update to a new major or minor version, the settings page opens with a notice and a "See what's new" button. Patch updates no longer open the settings page.

Version 1.2.1
Released Oct 12, 2026 - 1.33 MBWorks with firefox 140.0 and laterBug fixes:- When a site sets cookies again right after its cleanup, for example from requests still finishing when its tab closed, the extension now cleans again instead of waiting for your next visit.
- A keep rule for a site no longer keeps the third-party cookies stored under it by Total Cookie Protection. Those are kept only by a rule for their own site.
- Cookie cleanup is more precise: removing a cookie never deletes a kept cookie with the same name on another part of the site.
- Updated build and test tools.
