AutoScrolling by hisakazu

Rated 4 out of 5
by Firefox user 13250164, 7 years agoClick the icon and it scrolls at a custom speed you can set in the options.
Simple but effective.
Edit: On further testing, disabling the "click page to stop scrolling" doesn't work. Clicking the page still stops the scrolling.

- Rated 3 out of 5by electron, 5 years agoI wish there was also a keyboard shortcut for slowing down the scroll speed. (Alt+Shift+PageUp?)
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 11353714, 5 years agoThis add-on has options that I wish the AutoScroll extension on Chrome had.

can use. However, the jitter is too great when scrolling, the words on the page are not clear, and I hope to scroll smoothly. . . . . - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14581928, 6 years agoUseful, but seems slow. Speeds 20 and 50 seem to be the same and even at 3000 it still takes ~4.5 seconds to scroll 1 page.

- Rated 2 out of 5by wizzyz, 7 years agoThere is no submit button to change the speed value, enter does not do anything. You should correct this asap since it makes the extension pretty useless.

posted 6 years agoScrolling speed is changed when focus is move to other. So the change is committed when you click other elements.
In version 1.5.9, the bugs I found are fixed. Maybe works in your env. - Rated 4 out of 5by Zief, 7 years agoExactly the functionality I was looking for, but as I use it not to read but to scroll shopping pages, I need the scrolling speed to be much faster, like 3 or 4 times the actual max speed.

It is possible to 3000 scroll per second at max speed. - Rated 5 out of 5by SJoarder, 7 years agoEasy to use and gets the job done perfectly. The perfect replacement for ScrollyFox. P.S. It doesn't work on pages like about:preferences but that isn't the addon's fault. Mozilla doesn't allow addons to tamper with some aspects of system sites like "about:preferences" or "about:addons" in the latest firefox versions. Anyways, keep up the great work Pinkienort! :)

Yes. URL start with about:* or some website does not allow javascript excluding own. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13275169, 7 years agoIt seems to work on some pages, but not on others.
I used ScrollyFox for years, but Firefox no longer supports it after the latest update, so I've been trying to find alternatives since I have chronic pain in my hands.
For example, the addon doesn't scroll the addons search page, but does scroll Twitter. It's a bit of a mystery why it doesn't work on all pages. It'd also be nice to have a more direct access to toggling the speed.Developer response

Anyway, I will find that bug.
I also think that it takes time to change scrolling speed.
I will plan the way to quick changing.

Hi renko2. I found why this add-on does not work, but the cause is not the bug of this add-on. "Content Security Policy" decides the source in where scripts are loaded. http://addons.mozilla.org does not permitted the add-on exclude legacy add-ons. Maybe there are some loophole, but I do not seek the way. Sorry.
