One-click activation of an eligible Azure PIM group assignment and approval of pending requests.
Extension Metadata
About this extension
Azure PIM Quick Activate saves you from clicking through the Azure portal every time
you need to activate a Privileged Identity Management (PIM) group assignment or
approve a teammate's request.
Activate
One click opens the PIM "My roles → Groups" page, starts activation of your eligible
assignment, fills in your saved justification and submits it. The tab closes once
the activation is submitted.
Approve
One click opens the PIM "Approve requests" page, refreshes the list of pending group
activation requests, selects them all, approves them with your saved approval
message and closes the tab when done.
How to use
1. Click the toolbar icon and choose "Change text".
2. Enter your activation reason and, optionally, an approval message (default:
"Request approved").
3. Click "Activate" or "Approve".
You'll get a notification with the result, and the popup shows the outcome of the
last run. If you need to sign in or complete MFA, just do it in the opened tab and
the add-on will continue. If something goes wrong or takes too long, the tab stays
open so you can check it.
Privacy
The add-on collects no data and sends nothing anywhere. Your texts are stored only
in your browser's local add-on storage. It runs only on Azure portal pages
(azure.com / azure.net) and works through the portal as you, in your own signed-in
session.
Requirements
You need an Azure account with PIM eligible group assignments (for Activate) or
approver rights (for Approve). Not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft.
