Bang Startpage does not require an account and does not operate an analytics or tracking service.

Settings, bang shortcuts, Pocket items, and bang history are stored locally in the browser. This information is not uploaded to the developer or to a Bang Startpage server.

When a user explicitly submits a search or activates a bang, the browser sends the query directly to the search provider or destination selected by the user. The selected provider may process that request according to its own privacy policy.

Bang Startpage does not collect or retain submitted search terms on a developer-controlled service.
