by bojani, 5 years agoGreat except it doesn't work when writing a comment on facebook or youtube, though I am not sure if they use behavioral monitoring there, it may be the search bar where they capture data instead, please let me know and i will update my star review accordingly. seems to work sporadically on search engines. on bing it never staggered my text, on duck duck go it works half the time...

- Rated 2 out of 5by B00ze, 5 years agoI had tested this on FF45 and FF52 but the addOn's interface back then was all broken. Now on FF77, the interface works great, but I do not think the addOn works, even with a 1000ms delay I can see my characters arriving on Keytrack as soon as I type them. Works great in Chrome though.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15166774, 5 years agoIMPORTANT if you care about privacy I'm not going to write a long dissertation about how much erosion of privacy has occurred. Others have done that. I'm also not going to write much about how people (even those who value their privacy) don't get it; that NOTHING is 'free - that by using such services as G--gl-, their 'metrics are taken, analyzed, packaged, and sold. I'm not going to write much, either about how utterly ridiculous (that's the nicest thing I can say) about so-called 'social media, I.e., F-c-b--k, et al. They're NOT your 'friends - they're just people you chat with on-line.
What I DO recommend if you've not seen it, is the terrific, easy to understand, documentary, Terms And Conditions May App;y, which explains all of this.
All I AM going to say is (and I recommend watching Mr Moore's video for clearer explanations) you - who you are - can be (EASILY) picked out simply from the style of your data entry (typing), and this simple add-on helps to mitigate that (he has the studies to show and back it up).
I've used it on other browsers for several years now, and am very happy.
DO yourself a favour; stop giving so much of yourself away. - Rated 4 out of 5by Langoliers, 8 years agoThe text input fields go blank after typing them in, this behavior doesn't appear to be the case for chrome. (I could be wrong, but I doubt it.)
