Reviews for Bitwarden Password Manager
Bitwarden Password Manager by Bitwarden Inc.

by Marco, 8 years agoI like the open source approach. Pricing is also ok for private users, but a few things are missing in the plugin:
- folders cannot be collapsed
- Right click menu is missing the option to generate a secure password - clicking through the plugin itself is possible, but the other way would be faster
- Bitwarden homepage (online vault) cannot be opened through plugin. The arrow on the top left is opening the plugin in the full Firefox tab. Why?
- An option to have the username or username and password automatically filled for a matching homepage would be nice
- Push notifications for two-pass authentications
And please, conduct an independent security audit. Otherwise great product, I think I will completely switch from LastPass.

Thank you for the feedback.

2. Unfortunately Firefox does not allow copying to the clipboard outside of the popup window. This is a limitation of the web extension API in Firefox. We offer this option in other browsers, however.
3. This is so that you can have a persistent window open since the Firefox automatically closes the popup when you click out of it.
4. This option already exists under Settings -> Features.

- Rated 5 out of 5by frostbyte, 3 days agoAfter LastPass went corporate and severely limited their free account options, I searched for months for a new service. Password management services are, admittedly, fairly cheap in general, and it wasn't anything against LastPass that made me leave. I simply couldn't afford anything but a free account at the time.
After trying many alternatives I stumbled upon Bitwarden, and steeled myself for yet another disappointment, only to find a refreshing, comprehensive and secure service I could rely on, even for free until I could afford a higher account level.
I highly recommend Bitwarden—the desktop client and/or the browser integration are outstanding, as is the mobile app (and companion authenticator app). Thank you, Bitwarden! - Rated 5 out of 5by Eo, 4 days ago
