Passkeys are no longer functioning as of a few versions ago(After Version 2026.7.0). The Popup when creating or attempting to use previous Passkeys is stuck in a weird void, and can't be found on your screen. I am using multiple screens, so this may be a factor in this issue. This is a glitch that hasn't been fixed in months, and is unusual for the Bitwarden team. I am giving the extension a 1 star until this critical issue is repaired. After this is fixed, I will give it a 4 or 5 star rating it usually deserves. Also, older versions don't appear to be fixing the issue for me like others, so I am even more disappointed. Sigh....Please fix this quickly, as this is a game breaking bug.

Funktioniert nur mit Registrierung. Ich lege doch für ein Add-On nicht noch ein Konto mit noch einem Passwort an! Die haben doch nmicht mehr alle Latten am Zaun!

Worked before, but then items in vault stopped appearing and doesn't auto fill, reinstalled and didn't work.

Nach dem nun mehrfach das Browser Plugin seinen Dienst versagt hat, nach einem Update (kein QM mehr?) und 5 Tage nichts passiert ist.
Erstmal Autoupdate abgeschaltet (kann ja nicht euer ernst sein!)
Schaue ich mich nach einer anderen Option um (passbolt wahrscheinlich) -> Umzug!

Since the browser plugin has now failed to work on multiple occasions, following an update (no more QM?), and nothing has happened for 5 days.
First, I turned off auto-updates (you can’t be serious!)
I’m looking around for another option (probably Passbolt) -> Switching!

Please find other ways of storing passwords, cause Bitwarden is failing their users.

This latest release (2026.8.0, published August 20, 2026) is broken for many users. The extension opens to a completely blank white screen and becomes unusable. Vault does not load, login fails or hangs, and sync often throws Angular errors (including “Invalid time value”).
Multiple people on Edge, Chrome, and Firefox have reported the same issue. Downgrading to 2026.7.0 or earlier immediately fixes it.
Bitwarden seems more focused on pushing new monetization features (in-app upgrade checkout) than on basic stability. Please wait for a proper fix before updating. This version is currently unusable for a lot of people.

I hate to do this, but with the latest version breaking vaultwarden, I have to give it one star. Please fix this and I'll go back to the 4 stars that the extension normally deserves. For now, I installed an older one and blocked updates, but I'll check back in a few days.

Bitwarden devs, if you're reading this: If you made it so your docker implementation of the self-hosted variant would also only take a few megabytes of diskspace and 50-100 MB of RAM, then Vaultwarden didn't even have to exist in the first place!

Right now, the official Bitwarden self-hosted option is a bloated heap of garbage.

If it was possible i would've given this 0.25 stars as the extension is worthless.
Imported all my passwords and it doesn't even suggest any of them on any site ever.
Firefox own password manager is so much better and user friendly than BitWarden.

It used to work nicely but in the last month, I have to reenter my 4 bitwarden accounts at least once a week because it loose them. One of them isn't even self hosted...

the experience that I have with this extension recently are miserably. On Zen it stuck at loading the vault after logged-in, on Brave it stuck at log in screen.

Firefox extension 2026.7.0 stuck loading with Vaultwarden

After updating the Bitwarden Firefox extension to version 2026.7.0, the vault remains stuck on the loading placeholders and no items are displayed.

Going back to 2026.6.1 fixes it.
