It's easy to generate essentially impossible to brute force (with current technology) random passwords or pass-phrases that you don't need to remember and therefore can't be coerced from you - as long as you don't give up your master password. Out of hundreds of passwords for individual websites, I know exactly zero of them off the top of my head.
Syncs seamlessly between the desktop, browser extensions, and mobile apps. I strongly encourage using a strong password or easy to remember strong pass-phrase, and absolutely no sort of bio-metric unlocking at all. It's less convenient, but it's generally illegal (under most circumstances in the US) to be forced to reveal you master password, versus your device being put in front of your face or a fingerprint being lifted and used.
It's also open source software so anyone can view the code and ensure there's no shenanigans going on. Not as flashy as the other options out there, but once you get the gist of it, it's fantastic. - Rated 5 out of 5by Cube8577, 2 years ago

It had an awful UI before. They re-did the UI and it is still awful, just in a different way. But now the added bonus is that it is deeply broken. - Rated 2 out of 5by ToS_Uncheck, 2 years agoPrivacy and Security are inextricably linked, we close blinds in our homes and cover valuables in our vehicles to secure things we care about by not showing them to the world.
Bitwarden continues to embed Google trackers in it's website, even as that company has been recently proved to defy it own privacy policies, illegally track people are destroy evidence after the fact in federal court.
In the "About this extension" Bitwarden claims "your data stays secure and private." Yet, when I visit Bitwarden.com my IP address is logged by Google as that third party tracks me across the internet selling my information to anyone, including advertisers and goverment agencies.
Unfortunately, I've had to find a privacy respecting alternative to use until Bitwarden realizes that people are tired of having their data monetized and decides to use a service that doesn't include data collection in it's business model. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17940034, 2 years ago

Works well and easy to generate passwords etc. Sometimes difficult to use same profile for multiple applications. Or when an entry is edited in the dropdown of the add-on, it may discard all info when you leave the menu for a bit. Valuable updates and free to use.
