I had already disabled all the elements of the page that you can, and I wanted a dark theme, so in addition to filling a void in dark theme support (with a void), it got rid of the remaining useless bits. Perfect. (well, not completely perfect as pointed out by others, there's a flash of white; maybe I'll try the workaround... but I doubt there's anything the extension can do about it)
(btw it took me way too long to figure out there's a built in dark theme in Firefox, it's just not in the Options, but in Customize) - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 4981570, 7 years agoTo prevent the white flash, put the following lines into /chrome/userchrome.css . You may need to manually create the chrome folder.
@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");
/*Prevents White pre-load flash*/
tabbrowser tabpanels { background-color: black !important; } - Rated 4 out of 5by chrishazfun, 7 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13710381, 7 years agoThere is still a flash of white before the screen is rendered black, but it's better than a white screen, that's for sure. I sure wish that white flash could go away though -- then this would be 5-stars.

Only wish: When opening a new page it would be great if the cursor could be directly inside the link bar, s.t. one can start typing a link right away. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13658188, 7 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13445389, 7 years agothis is great, thank you! is there a simple fix to clear the url bar upon opening a new tab and still have this work? Currently, the new tab opens with "moz-extension://...../blank-page.html", showing that the new tab page is originating from the addon.
