Blinders: Focus Mode for YouTube by m4nespin

Blinders removes YouTube's attention traps so you can watch what you came for. Everything is hidden by default; click the toolbar icon to switch each item on or off, and changes apply to open tabs instantly.

What it can hide

• Shorts: shelves, cards, search results, sidebar and notifications, the Shorts menu entry, filter chip and channel tab. Shorts links open in the regular player.
• Members-only videos: any video with a "Members only" badge.
• Recommendations: the suggested-videos column next to the player. Playlists and live chat stay.
• Notifications: the bell, its unread count and dropdown.
• Explore and More from YouTube sections in the sidebar.
• Premium features: Download buttons, Premium quality options and badges, promo banners and Premium links.

Privacy: collects no data and makes no network requests. It only runs on youtube.com and stores your switch settings locally.

Notes: on the mobile site (Firefox for Android) only Shorts, members-only and recommendations are hidden. Some Shorts elements are matched by their English label.
