BNT : Better New Tab by Pars

Turn every new tab into a personal control center.

BNT (Better New Tab) replaces your blank new tab page with a fast,
beautiful and fully customizable dashboard. Drag, drop and resize
widgets exactly where you want them — on any screen, from a half-width
window to ultrawide and 4K, the layout reflows on crisp square cells
instead of stretching.

Built with pure vanilla JavaScript & CSS. No frameworks, no trackers,
no bloat — just a snappy start page that respects your time and your data.

✦ MODULAR WIDGETS
Add only what you need and arrange it freely on a smart grid:
• Clock — digital or analog, seconds, date
• Weather — real-time conditions, automatic or manual location
• Search — multi-engine with "bangs" and history suggestions
• Shortcuts — your favorite sites as a grid or list
• News — RSS aggregator with your own sources
• To-Do — quick task list with completion tracking
• Notes — jot ideas down instantly
• Pomodoro — focus timer with work / break cycles
• Crypto — live cryptocurrency prices
• Quotes — a fresh daily quote
• Calendar — events, repeats and countdowns; subscribe to Google or Proton calendars
• Most visited — your top sites, one click away (optional permission)
• Sticky notes — colorful notes that float anywhere on the screen

✦ SMART SEARCH WITH BANGS
Search from the new tab and jump straight to any site:
type "!yt lofi" for YouTube, "!w Einstein" for Wikipedia, "!gh react"
for GitHub. Create unlimited custom bangs of your own.

✦ MAKE IT YOURS
• 12 ready-made templates
• Glass, Matte, Transparent, Dark, Light and Neon widget themes
• Custom accent color; image, video or GIF backgrounds with a built-in editor
• Background music, adjustable blur and font
• Scenes — save your whole look and switch between designs in one click

✦ POWER-USER FRIENDLY
• Fully drag-and-resize widget layout — also with the keyboard (arrows / Shift+arrows)
• Screen Layouts — separate layouts per aspect ratio with morph / fade / slide transitions
• Customizable keyboard shortcuts
• Backup & restore your entire setup to a JSON file
• 5 languages: English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish (auto-detected)

✦ LEARN AS YOU GO
• 11 short guided tutorials with a live spotlight on the real page
• Offered right when you first use a feature — never forced
• A getting-started checklist that ticks itself as you go

✦ PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything is stored locally in your browser. BNT has no account, no
sign-in and no analytics. Optional permissions are only used for the
features you enable — location for the Weather widget, and browsing
history for local search suggestions. Your settings and content never
leave your device; widgets only contact the public services they need
(weather, prices, your RSS feeds).
