This is the best way to personalize the homepage. I have tried many different add-ons in the past but always turned back to the default one. But now, I did the customization I really wanted; it was easier than expected.

This is an amazing theme for Firefox. I love it. Lots of settings are comes free in this theme which is not available in Chrome browser.

new update broke my css, but it added the features i was originally trying to code anyways, lol (rip markdown though). super customisable, aesthetic and it's open-source too! could not recommend more.
