Callstar Web Click2Call is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information necessary for the extension to function:

Callstar Credentials: Your PBX username, password, and extension number (stored locally in Chrome)
User Preferences: Language settings, highlight colors, and extension preferences (stored locally)
No Personal Data: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, browsing history, or phone call content
2. How We Use Information

The information collected is used solely to:

Authenticate with your Callstar PBX system
Initiate phone calls through your PBX
Maintain your extension preferences
Provide language localization (English/Hebrew)
3. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage Only: All credentials and preferences are stored locally in Chrome's secure storage
No Cloud Storage: We do not store any data on external servers
Encrypted Storage: Chrome automatically encrypts stored extension data
Admin Protection: Sensitive settings are password-protected. Contact your Callstar Administrator for further assistance
4. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit any user data to third parties. The extension only communicates with:

Your configured Callstar PBX server
No analytics services
No advertising networks
No data collection services
5. Permissions Explained

The extension requests the following permissions:

activeTab: To detect phone numbers on web pages you visit
storage: To save your preferences and credentials locally
scripting: To highlight phone numbers on web pages
host_permissions: To communicate with your Callstar PBX server
6. Phone Number Detection

Phone numbers are detected locally in your browser
Phone numbers are only transmitted to your Callstar PBX server when you actively click to call
Detection only occurs on pages you actively visit
You can disable phone number highlighting in settings
7. User Control

You have full control over your data:

Uninstall the extension to remove all stored data
Disable features like phone highlighting or context menus through extension settings page
All data remains on your device
8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in the extension. Users will be notified of significant changes through extension updates.
