Eno® from Capital One® by Capital One

by Mark, 3 years agoEDIT: As promised, updating to the 5 stars this extension deserves. Thanks for fixing the login bug on Firefox, CapOne devs!
So bummed, this extension is/was fantastic, but with newer FIrefox releases it's impossible to use. As dozens of other reviews state, it's no longer possible to sign into the extension. It pops open another browser window for you to authenticate to CapitalOne, but there's no communication between windows so the extension will sit there forever with the 'waiting to sign in' animation. If you close the window it opened, the extension drops back to the 'login required' state. It's a never-ending loop so it's now impossible to use Eno. If they ever fix this I'll adjust right back to 5 stars because I *love* this virtual card feature.
I did try disabling all other extensions thinking perhaps Privacy Badger or uBlock were killing some piece of functionality, but even in a 'clean' environment it won't work correctly. The *only* way you can use Eno at this time is if you open a separate tab and sign into the Capital One site, then you can go back to whatever storefront you had open and Eno will work. Definitely not ideal, you should not have to open a separate tab and sign into Capital One every time you want to use the Eno plugin.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15665065, a month agoI'm not sure why there are mixed reviews of this extension. It works great, just like it does in other browsers. I love being able to make cards expire on a specific date so I don't have to worry about cancelling trials.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Steph P., 2 months agoI love the ease of generating virtual cards to secure my credit card information when checking out and tying them to vendors. Makes it easy to delete or deactivate cards when I don't trust a vendor.

- Rated 4 out of 5by jh, 2 months agoEno takes a lot of the anxiety out of providing credit information to online sales sites. It works on many sites but definitely not all. Sometimes it will not recognize the form fields. Also some websites seem to detect the extension and reject the Eno card number forcing the user back to the underlying card number. Overall it is a very good and handy extension that I use to increase security whenever it is available.
- Rated 5 out of 5by matt, 3 months agoThe extension itself is sometimes a little buggy, it'll get stuck and never get you a card, but it works 90% of the time and the other 10% I'll just log into the capital one website and do it myself

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18787261, 3 months agoIt's great to be able to create a virtual card specific to a merchant and set a purchase limit date so they can't bill beyond the purchase date.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Yonco, 3 months agoWorks great but I'd love it even more if they also add the choice of max $$ to be paid on each virtual card!
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 18774542, 3 months agoOverall I am very happy with this and use it extensively. it works well.
Sometimes I have trouble getting it to open. It makes me log in every time -- even if I just used it a few minutes before. But overall I find it very useful and pretty seemless. - Rated 5 out of 5by SpareSimian, 4 months agoWorks fine with most websites. But didn't when I tried to renew my AAA membership. Probably misconfiguration between AAA and Chase that does their payment processing, resulting in the virtual card getting rejected.
- Rated 3 out of 5by RDP73667, 4 months agoIt's fantastic when it is working. Unfortunately, 50% of the time the app 'spins' when attempting to log into the account. When that happens, the app only displays a message that it is logging into account, but it never does.
