Career Bridge privacy policy for the browser add-on
Last updated: 18 October 2026
The Career Bridge add-on works with your Career Bridge account. It only does something when you press a button in its popup.
What it sends to Career Bridge
- Your email and password when you log in. The add-on then keeps a login token (not your password) on your device until you log out.
- The address of the page you open it on, so Career Bridge can match the job and your application.
- The text of a job advert, when you press "Save this advert".
- Your requests to check your fit or write an application, when you press those buttons.
What it reads but doesn't send
- To fill in a form, it reads the labels of the boxes on the page, in your browser, and fills them with the details you saved in Career Bridge. What you type into a job site isn't sent to Career Bridge.
What it never collects
- Passwords for job sites.
- Answers to questions about right to work, nationality, criminal records, health or equality monitoring.
- Your browsing history, or anything from pages where you haven't pressed a button.
Who handles the data
- Career Bridge stores your account and applications with Supabase, its database provider.
- When you check your fit or write an application, the advert text and the examples in your Evidence Bank are sent to Groq, the AI service that drafts the text.
- Career Bridge doesn't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Keeping and deleting
- Your data stays in your account until you delete it. To have your account and everything in it deleted, email the support address listed on this add-on's page.
