About this extension
Navigate long ChatGPT conversations without endless scrolling.
ChatGPT Navigation QoL is a lightweight Firefox extension that lets you jump between messages using
I use ChatGPT regularly for work and research. In long conversations, scrolling back and forth to find an earlier question or revisit a particular point becomes tedious.
The keyboard-navigation workflow I previously relied on stopped working as expected after changes to ChatGPT's interface. Rather than continue scrolling manually, I built this extension to restore that workflow.
The extension runs locally in your browser on ChatGPT pages. It does not transmit conversation data or use remote services. For details about its page access, local processing, and storage, see the Privacy Policy.

Ctrl + ↑ and Ctrl + ↓.- Keyboard navigation: Move to the previous or next message in a conversation.
- Two navigation modes: Navigate between your own prompts only, or between your prompts and ChatGPT's responses.
- Visual highlighting: The selected message scrolls into view, is centered, and briefly receives a blue outline.
- Simple controls: Enable or disable the extension and switch navigation modes from the toolbar popup.
- Text selection preserved: Shift is not intercepted by the extension, so normal text selection remains available.
