posted 16 days agoThanks for the feedback. About the support for wikiquote, I know this is frustrating and I am frustrated too. I tried to make the list of supported websites as clear and prominent as possible.
The reason for wikiquote not being supported is that adding support for new websites requires asking new security permissions to existing users of the add-on. And unfortunately, asking these security permissions turns out to be an annoyance to them. In the past the add-on lost users just after I added support for Wikipedia's sister projects (Commons, wiktionary, etc.). So now, I prioritize keeping the add-on as stable as possible over adding support for new websites, unless there's a strong demand for it.
I keep this issue in the back of my mind though, as you're not the first one to raise it (e.g. see this discussion https://github.com/jeanbaptisteb/classic_wikipedia/issues/2 ). As a solution satisfying to everyone, I was thinking about creating a new, separate add-on that would allow users to add themselves wiki websites they want to have support for. However, this would require some non-trivial development time that I don't currently have. Maybe other developers would be interested in such a project.- Rated 5 out of 5by softyoda, a year agoThank you! I like the new wikipedia interface, but god, I HATE the popup menu to switch language or see how many languages are available... Wikipedia, if you read this, please make VOTE for your community, it's really bad this popup/popover behavior, and philosophy to want to hide everything...

posted 2 years agoThanks Aline! I feel the same, and I'm glad that the add-on is useful to other people! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15201371, 2 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17812734, 2 years agoThis addon is incredible. I have a harder time navigating websites that favor whitespace and hiding everything behind burger menus and invisible touch-oriented spaces, and to have the wikimedia foundation obliterate their readability with no way to revert it other than an account with them was a massive gut-punch. You're awesome, thank you. I rate this addon 10/5.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17744703, 2 years agoIt works very well generally, the only issue being that the Wikipedia homepage no longer works/loads. This seems to be an issue for all of the add-ons that revert Wikipedia to its old format.
edit: After an update, it now works perfectly. A thank you to the dev for such a quick response.Developer response
posted 2 years agoThanks for the feedback! I investigated the issue, and it should be fixed now, if you were talking about https://www.wikipedia.org. You just have to update the add-on to its most recent version (1.3).
If you were not talking about this homepage, or if the add-on still does not work properly after updating it, feel free to give me more details by sending a message to classic.mode.wikipedia@gmail.com
