Clean Web rewrites the shouting out of the pages you read. The headline that
shouts, the sentence that begs, the post written to make you click - it gets
rewritten in place, in the same spot, in the same style, so the page still looks
like the page. Nothing is removed, no layout is rebuilt, and the original is one
click away.

You choose which sites it runs on. Every site you have not chosen is left
exactly as it was.

REWRITES IN PLACE, NEVER REBUILDS THE PAGE
- Headlines, short paragraphs and comments are rewritten where they sit
- The page's own layout, styling, fonts and interactions are never touched
- Pure engagement bait is hidden behind a one-click show pill, not deleted
- Promotional images are blurred or replaced, in a way that keeps the page's shape
- Every change is marked in the margin, and hovering shows the original next to
the rewrite

ONE PASS, NOT A LIST OF SPECIAL CASES
Clean Web reads a page the way a person does: it looks at each piece of text and
asks what it is for. A rule that removed every exclamation mark would also
remove a lot of writing that deserves to be there.

What gets removed, how it reads and how it sounds are three separate decisions
you can mix:
- Remove slurs, dehumanising epithets and calls to violence from the author's
own words. Standard leaves quotations exactly as written; hard also edits
quoted slurs.
- Neutralise tone, to de-hype shouting, rage and engagement bait.
- Improve readability, for shorter sentences and plainer words.

A tolerance setting decides how thorough the model is.

REWRITES ARE CHECKED BEFORE THEY ARE APPLIED
If a rewrite would drop or alter a number, a name, a date, a price, a link or a
mention, it is rejected and your original wording stays. Prices, form fields,
legal and medical text, code and navigation are never touched at all.

YOUR KEY, YOUR MODEL, YOUR CALL
Clean Web works with a free Google AI Studio key, an Agnes AI key, or an
OpenRouter key. The key lives in your browser, is sent only to the provider you
picked, and is never sent to us. With no key, no page text leaves the browser
and Clean Web makes no request that carries any of it, so every page stays
exactly as the site wrote it.

Only short visible text spans are sent, with the page title and the site host
name so the model can tell one page from another - never HTML, never the page
address or its path, never form values, never image sources. Text that has been
judged once is remembered on your device and is not sent again, even on another
page where the same words appear.
