Why this and not other similar add-on?
Most of the other adds-on have around 13 rules to remove garbage fields. But ClearURLs has 65 rules to remove garbage fields and much of them are regex-rules (so the rule does not only block one field, it blocks all fields with the same structure). Also, ClearURLs is a open source.
If you are a kind of average user looking to improve privacy without loosing a decade studying a PhD in tech details... ClearURLs is the most complete ready-to-use plug-and-play alternative.
I would like to suggest future requests to the author:
1) To test the system performance impact of the 65 rules. I don't have know-how to distinguish if the 65 rules are indispensable. If "yes", then keep all and add more rules! But if some of them are exceptional and affects system resources/performance, then it could be interesting to prioritize system performance.
2) To evolve ClearURLs in an all-in-one add-on for URLs nasty issues ("clearing", "redirecting", "skipping" etc).
I perfectly understand the author' point of view, in the sense that some requests demand tons of work, not just for build the add-on, but also for keep it updated, supported etc. But from the user' point of view, less adds-on, less system resources, better performance etc... is always more than welcome and most desirable.
I will be more than happy to help donating for this kind of all-in-one add-on.
Congrats and thank you to the author!

This extension removes critical parameters from URLs used in SAML logins (like RelayState, SAMLRequest), which breaks authentication flows on government websites such as Spain’s SEPE / Cl@ve.
The lack of a domain whitelist makes it too aggressive for practical daily use. Great idea — but the execution is becoming detached from real-world needs. - Rated 5 out of 5by A. Bilmanda, 10 days ago

"Vous avez été bloqué(e).
Pourquoi ce blocage ? Quelque chose dans le comportement du navigateur nous a intrigué.
Diverses possibilités:
vous surfez et cliquez à une vitesse surhumaine
quelque chose bloque le fonctionnement de javascript sur votre ordinateur
un robot est sur le même réseau (IP xx.xx.xx.xx) que vous"
Il faudrait pouvoir mettre certains sites trop sensibles en whitelist.
Blocks the stores-u.com login:
“You have been blocked.
Why this blocking? Something in the browser's behavior intrigued us.
Various possibilities:
you surf and click at superhuman speed
something is blocking javascript from working on your computer
a robot is on the same network (IP xx.xx.xx.xx) as you"
It would be necessary to be able to whitelist certain sites that are too sensitive. - Rated 1 out of 5by chris p, a month agoDoes not clear any URL's on YouTube. Was forced to use a userscript for that. Lame

Su página de ayuda dice que agregues las URL, en ese caso tienes que hacer todo tú, no hay un filtrado automático. Su página de ayuda dice que después de varias veces que limpia la URL ya queda lista, hay apps que lo hacen a la primera. Inservible este Add-on.
