This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Cloudphish Anti-Phishing Extension for Firefox, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
Sign in and account status
You are not required to create a user account in order to use the Cloudphish Firefox extension. If you choose, you can sign in to Cloudphish via the Cloudphish for Firefox extension by creating an account you will need to provide Cloudphish with a username and email address. Once signed in, the extension checks whether you have purchased Cloudphish Premium. We may use your email address to send you information about your account or marketing messages (as permitted by applicable law).
Email Validation
When Cloudphish for Firefox is initialized in a Gmail or Outlook instance, your email and the sending address of incoming emails and identifying characteristics of your email will be used to authenticate the email against our servers. The body or attachments of your emails, incoming or outgoing, will never be read or saved on our servers. This data may also be used where necessary to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Cloudphish and its users, to comply with our legal obligations, such as responding to warrants, court orders, or other legal processes, or to improve the algorithms underlying our services.
Product usage logs
We collect data on how you use the Product in order to improve it. We collect data on which alerts you see and whether you view, accept, reject, or ignore them. When you use the Products, Cloudphish may automatically collect:
• technical data and device information—this includes data such as location as indicated by IP address, date and time of use, language preference, operating system, and browser type; and
• data about your use of the product—this includes data such as when you log in or out, turn Cloudphish on or off, change settings, or use product features, like looking up definitions and synonyms, using learn more, and using the Cloudphish menu.
Customer support
We may collect and use the information you provide when you contact us to provide you with customer service, address any technical issues that you encounter, or to improve our products and services.
Sharing your information
We use a small number of trusted third parties to provide the Cloudphish for Firefox extension. For example, we use Microsoft Azure to store content and Stripe to process payments. We may also share the information that we collect through the Firefox extension as required by law, such as in response to a court order or law enforcement request; if necessary to protect our rights or the rights of others; or in connection with a corporate restructuring.
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
Children
Cloudphish does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we determine we have collected personal information from a child younger than 13 years of age, we will take reasonable measures to remove that information from our systems.
Changes to this Policy
We will notify you of any material changes that impact your rights under this Policy by, for example, sending you an email to your most recently provided email address and post any other revisions to this Policy here along with their effective date. Your continued use of Cloudphish after any change means that you agree with, and consent to be bound by, the new Policy.
